Cross posting from MB. Just wanted to inform everyone what I'll be up to before I disappear for awhile. C:

Word of encouragement to my fellow artists out there. Don't let your surroundings corrupt the way in which you think, generate and create art. I mean this in negative sense, positive experiences are great fuels but those who try to bring you down, "wake you up" (my uncle used this on me lol) and stray you away from the dire desires and passions you have for ART. It's inevitable that you'll come across this or alas living in the pits of it already.

If I'm given the chance to ramble a little here, my parents and relatives want to suspend my degree in art (Graphic Design, it's my second year<3) and take on English as an alterior motive for income. Teach English over in Korea, lecture etc. WHICH is a fine aspect, and I agree I should have some ' part-time' work to support me and my art. But is it selfish of me to think I'll be 'wasting' 4 years of my life to earn this degree and work for at least 2 years to grasp my financial bearing. 6 years. Sure I could fit art here and there in spare times but they will all be short-lived. I won't have serious time to myself to delve in deep and just CREATE. Haha I'm being weak here but that'll make me seriously suicidal. Love/hate...sometimes I wish I didn't harbour this abnormal love for art.

My relatives have the best interest in me and I'm thankful for that. However they're all hoping along the way I'll lose my interest in art business by seeing how much money this English tutoring will bring me. Serious money here folks, some people become millionaires pursuing to be an English tutor in foreign countries, especially in the Eastern Asian regions. Haha if anyone's interested there ya go. But if I was a gold digger I wouldn't have touched art in the first place. To be honest, I really don't want that SUM in my hands. I have no idea what I'd do with it. Other than buy tons of art supplies, build me a small art studio and just...

I have to make the decision before the year is out, whether or not to discontinue my degree and start another. I gave my word if I can't find a very respectable job in 2 months with okay revenue I'll give this English course a try. BUT 6 YEARS. I barely made it through that one year I didn't take art...UGH how'd this get so angsty. ROFL apologies. MMM I wouldn't say it's a turmoil or disaster in anyway but it kinda feels like it.

WISH ME LUCK GUYS, I'm staying strong and slaying obstacles left, right and center. I'm a dork so I slip up more than I slay BUT HEY, I've got these arms and legs, I'm crawling back up to save this ' princess' of mine. I don't want to lose her, for 6 years. I do hope anyone under the same situation will come to a determind resolution about what they'll do. Compensations are good, they're necessary, they keep you alive. But never lose sight of what you truly love-LOVE-to live and stand for.

I love you guys, thanks for reading through my insane rant lol;; sorry it got a little personal. XD; Be safe! See ya.

AHH I'd like to call it a success, seeing as how pooped I am. XD; Lil update andddd I'ma gonna pass right out.

Due to my sub deceasing on me, I link you to my LJ for any visual aids. WOOSH~ [link]

DUDE YOU GUYS, that long/huge as print I've submitted a week or so ago, I was fully doubting it'd sell seeing as it was pretty heavily priced. Printing huge sizes are real bite in my budget-butt. THEN IT SOLD OUT, and half way through the con too. D: D: D: INSANE.
Sorry for those who missed out, hopefully you had your names and contacts down on the order form and I'll print and send them off to you by Wednesday at the latest. C: THANK YOU kfjgkdfg

AHH so many awesome talents gathered in that small space, OVERWHELMING. I didn't get a chance to do a full tour in detail though, which I regret. It might be dorky to mention but, this was my first time in meeting anyone I acquainted online in real life. Wasn't as nervous as I thought, actually it was like~ meeting an old friend? XD It's a great feeling. <3

ANYWAY, it wasn't a bad experience. Learnt a few tricks and how to avoid those traps kinda thing. Hopefully I'll get to see more familiar faces next year. C:<

Before I rush off, I'm just wondering if anyone not of NZ decent (LOL) is interested in purchasing any of my prints? D: I have couple leftover and I don't think I'll have them up for display next year so~ I'll post pictures of them if anyone shows any interest. C:

And~ I'm thinking about commissions but further info on that if I can fit it into my fulltime student schedule. DX

OK! My tired, sleep deprived ramble ends there. GOOD NIGHT and I can't believe I'm sober right now. XDD

[EDIT] THANK YOU JESS! Your sushi were DELISH and fuel for the body, soul and mind. OMG I would not have survived without them. TRUTH. CX ILU<33
